Catinaccio-Roda di Vaél ring
An extraordinary ring excursion which is mainly easy and
flat and it is possible to catch sight of an impressive landscape with typical dolomites
shapes. The first part of the trail, the Hirzelweg, is flat then the trail
becomes steeper until the Vajolon Pass where you can enjoy the view of the Gran Buia di Vaél amphitheatre and the
crown of the dolomites picks. Descending we get to the famous Roda di Vaél
refuge and then the big bronze eagle dedicated to Theodor Christomannos (a local politician and
pioneer of alpin tourism).
